Spanish aerospace company PLD Space has clinched a lucrative contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) under its Boost! program, aimed at advancing commercial space transportation endeavors. The contract, valued at 1.3 million euros, will facilitate the development of a versatile payload accommodation system on PLD Space's MIURA 5 orbital launcher, enhancing flexibility for its clientele.

In collaboration with OCCAM Space, the project seeks to bolster PLD Space's commitment to tailored services, catering to the diverse needs of satellite deployment missions. The initiative, endorsed by ESA, aligns with PLD Space's strategic vision of offering adaptable solutions to its customers.

Raúl Verdú, Chief Business Development Officer & Co-founder of PLD Space, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “PLD Space has proven time and again that it is the European launch leader. The winning of the Boost! contract, an achievement shared with our partners Occam Space, is a further testament to this fact and another vote of confidence from ESA. We are happy to develop a modular, highly flexible, low-cost solution to meet our customers' accommodation needs aboard MIURA 5.”
